The Deipenbrink landscape protection area with an area of ​​601.77  ha is located in the area of ​​the independent city of Hagen in North Rhine-Westphalia . The landscape protection area (LSG) was designated in 1994 with the landscape plan of the city of Hagen by the city council of Hagen.

The LSG borders directly on the A 45 in the west and south-west . In the west is the Asmecker Bachtal landscape protection area and in the south-west is the Brantenberg, Stapelberg landscape protection area on the other side of the A 45. In the southeast and east is the Märkischer Kreis conservation area . In the north, the protected area extends to the Stoppelberg landscape protection area . In the northeast, the LSG joins the Roter Stein, Zimmerberg nature reserve .

In the LSG there are mainly forest areas that are crossed by numerous streams. The LSG has a species-rich fauna and flora.

Protection purpose

According to the landscape plan, the designation was made "to maintain and restore the efficiency of the natural balance, in particular by securing natural habitats, because of the diversity, uniqueness and beauty of the landscape, especially in the area of ​​the Never and Wesselbachtal and because of its particular importance for recreation in rural areas Room".
