Vaardigheidsmedaille van de Nederlandse Sport Federatie
Vaardigheidsmedaille van de Nederlandse Sport Federatie , or Vaardigheidsmedaille for short , is a Dutch sports badge that has been awarded since 1959 . The tradition goes back to 1914. The services to be provided for the acquisition are graded according to age and gender.
history
Since 1914, a medal for sporting achievements has been awarded in the Netherlands : Medaille voor vaardigheidsproeven van het Nederlands Olympisch Comité. In 1959 this was replaced by the Vaardigheidsmedaille van de Nederlandse Sport Federatie. The award is currently given by the NOC * NSF , the association of the National Olympic Committee and the National Sports Federation of the Netherlands.

Design and finishes
The badge consists of a round medal with the lion from the coat of arms of the Netherlands in the middle with the surrounding inscription VOOR ALZIJDIGE VAARDIGHEID . The medal hangs on a blue ribbon. The Vaardigheid Medal is awarded in several stages:
- 1st acquisition - bronze
- 3rd acquisition - silver
- 5th acquisition - gold
- further repetitions - different colored laurel wreaths or ( Roman or Arabic ) numbers on the ribbon
