Description in the landscape plan: “The landscape component is located north of Herbeck on Sudfeldstrasse. It consists of the overgrown park with mighty old wood, a wooded embankment edge and a pond south of the Lennefährweg with an extensive reed stock. "
Protection purpose
According to the landscape plan, the designation was made “to ensure the efficiency of the natural balance by maintaining a habitat for the characteristic animal and plant species of the small bodies of water and swamp areas, as well as a habitat, in particular for small mammals, cave-breeding bird species and dead wood-dwelling insects”.
