The protected landscape component of the Klingelbach quarry with an area of 1.6 ha is located in the area of the independent city of Hagen in North Rhine-Westphalia . The LB was designated in 1994 with the landscape plan of the city of Hagen by the city council of Hagen.

Description in the landscape plan: “The landscape component is located south of the museum village at the foot of the Eilper Berg. It is a Grauwacke quarry of the Brandenberg strata of the Middle Devon with rock and stone rubble areas. "
Protection purpose
According to the landscape plan, the designation was made “to ensure the efficiency of the natural balance by maintaining a habitat for heat-loving animal and plant species and to structure and revitalize the landscape by securing a geoscientific object.”
