History pedagogy

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

History pedagogy is an older (collective) term for history didactics and history methodology . Corresponding professorships for the training of history teachers , especially for elementary schools at the universities of teacher education , carried this designation in Germany until the 1960s (e.g. Klara Maria Fassbinder at the PH Bonn). In Braunschweig there was a history pedagogical working group around Georg Eckert and Hans Ebeling . In the field of museum education and in other European countries, this term is still used today and mostly refers to historical offers that exist specifically for children and adolescents.
