The history workshop Neuhausen e. V. was founded as a history association on November 9, 1992 and sheds a critical light on the (sub) history of Neuhausen-Nymphenburg - the Munich districts of Neuhausen , Nymphenburg and Gern . At the same time, it communicates the historical research results obtained in this way to a broader public .

Tasks and self-image

The association works on the history of the districts of Neuhausen, Nymphenburg and Gern in the self-image of history workshops by viewing, collecting and archiving historical evidence and traces. The research results obtained are presented in exhibitions, own films, books and the magazine Neuhauser Werkstatt-Nachrichten - historical magazine for Neuhausen, Nymphenburg and Gern and conveyed in district tours and lectures . The aim of this form of cultural district work is to enable as many people as possible to understand and research their own history, the history of the district and also "foreign" history.

Most of the time, the association takes on issues and topics that have so far hardly been taken into account in order to carry out “forensic evidence”. The Geschichtswerkstatt Neuhausen eV is funded by the Munich Cultural Department and the Department of City History also supports projects.

The association cooperates with almost all cultural, political and social institutions and facilities in the district - e.g. B. with the Munich adult education center and the Munich city library , with which the history workshop Neuhausen shares the "Neuhauser Trafo" in the Nymphenburger Str. 171, the elderly and service center Neuhausen, churches, schools, the district committee and its parties as well as other various associations Neuhausens, Nymphenburgs and Gerns.
