from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

FLYP is an American web magazine. The presentation of the magazine stands out from other web magazines in particular through the consistent integration of multimedia technologies. The main focus is on non-current topics from the areas of society, art and culture. New issues appear every two weeks.

concept

The idea behind FLYP is a consistent use of current web technologies for the presentation of online journalism . In terms of content, the online magazine should increasingly establish topics in addition to the daily news journalism on the Internet . FLYP was inspired by the web magazine Índigo Brainmedia from Mexico .

The Mexican investor Alfonso Romo is FLYP's main financier.

Employee

About 20 employees work for FLYP at the moment. In addition to editors and reporters, they also include graphic artists , designers and programmers . The editor is Alan Stoga .

technology

The website is implemented primarily using Flash . Due to the extensive integration of Flash, embedded videos, animations and other computational and data-intensive techniques, fast and modern hardware is required for fluid display. In addition, the crawlers of current search engines have so far not indexed the content of the web magazine due to the fact that the website is made using Flash.
