The Society for the Promotion of International Youth and Educational Television eV supports the Prix ​​Jeunesse Foundation and the International Central Institute for Youth and Educational Television in fulfilling their respective tasks.

The company was founded in Munich in 1968 and entered in the register of associations in 1969.

Members are the Second German Television, Bavarian Broadcasting, the Free State of Bavaria, the City of Munich, the Bavarian State Center for New Media , Super RTL and the personal members Gerhard Fuchs, Hans-Georg Küppers and, until his death in 2016, the honorary member Helmut Oeller .
