Gesine Multhaupt

Gesine Multhaupt (born May 19, 1963 in Leer ) is a German politician ( SPD ).

Life and work

After completing secondary school in 1980, Gesine Multhaupt trained to be a medical assistant until 1982 . On her second educational path , she obtained her Abitur in 1985 and then began studying German , Protestant religion and general teaching for special schools , which she completed in 1989 with the first state examination. After completing her legal clerkship , she passed the second state examination in 1991 and has since worked as a teacher in the school service of the State of Lower Saxony .

Multhaupt played a key role in shaping the 2002 new bus network operated by Verkehr und Wasser GmbH in Oldenburg.

Political party

Multhaupt has been a member of the SPD since 1986. She was initially involved with the Jusos and was chairwoman of the Juso sub-district of Oldenburg-Stadt from 1989 to 1995 and a member of the Juso district board of Weser-Ems from 1993 to 1995 .

Since 1989 she has been a member of the board of directors of the SPD sub-district of Oldenburg-Stadt and has been its deputy chairwoman since 1999.

MPs

Multhaupt has been a member of the Oldenburg City Council since 1996.

From 2002 to 2009 she was a member of the German Bundestag .

Gesine Multhaupt moved into the Bundestag in 2002 and 2005 as a directly elected member of the Oldenburg - Ammerland constituency . In the 2005 Bundestag election , she received 44.7% of the first votes .

In 2009 Multhaupt lost her direct mandate in the Bundestag. Because of the poor second vote result of the SPD in the 2009 Bundestag election , their place on the list (21st place) was not given a chance.
