Allow me, Mr Stink is a 2009 British children's novel by David Walliams and illustrated by Quentin Blake . The book was published in German by Aufbau-Verlag in 2011 .

The book is about a homeless man (Mr Stink) who sits on a park bench for a while. A dog named Countess lives with him. The homeless is not spoken to by anyone. But over time, a girl named Chloe dares to approach. Over time, Chloe and Mr Stink develop a friendship. At some point, Chloe secretly takes Mr Stink home with her. After a long time, Chloe's parents notice. The moment Mr. Stink and Chloe's parents met was in an interview with the mother. Mr. Stink falls into the middle of the conversation. The mother lies and claims that she took in the homeless man. That's why she's on a talk show with Mr. Stink . During the talk show, however, Mr. Stink contradicts her and tells the truth that Chloe took him in and the mother was wrong.
