The company was founded in 1910 by Heinrich Ahlers, the current owners are Bernhard and Andreas Henze, grandsons and great-grandchildren of the company founder. The company also includes Getränke-Höpfner Voll-Service GmbH with branches in Klötze and Lehrte as well as Gerdes & Willers Getränke based in Bad Zwischenahn .
