Gettygo ( spelling : GETTYGO ) is a German service provider for the tire trade. As a so-called business-to-business platform, the company creates contacts between stationary retail and tire suppliers and manufacturers from Germany and Europe. In addition to online purchase, the platform also offers complete solutions for wheels and car parts. Gettygo is mainly active in Germany and France.

Business model

Gettygo was founded in 2005 and offers its customers an online platform for ordering tires , rims and automotive parts from suppliers and wholesalers. The range of services also includes a complete wheel configurator, with the help of which suitable tire-rim combinations can be determined and ordered fully assembled. The range includes tires, rims and parts for cars , trucks and motorcycles . Billing takes place centrally via Gettygo, which means that several orders from several retailers are bundled in a collective bill to the customer and billed centrally by Gettygo. The goods are sent decentrally from the selected storage location of the supplier directly to the ordering customer of Gettygo. In the opinion of the industry magazine KFZ-Betrieb, central invoicing and customer service offers go beyond the tasks of a mere agent, Gettygo thus has the characteristics of a wholesaler itself, or sees itself as such.

The use of the offer requires prior registration and is open to registered companies . The main customers are car dealerships , workshops and tire dealers in Germany and Austria. To serve the markets in France, Belgium and Spain, GETTYGO SAS was founded in 2011 with its headquarters and office in Strasbourg, where around 10 employees are active. The GETTYGO SAS is a 100% subsidiary of GETTYGO GmbH .

reception

The company is viewed favorably in the trade press. In connection with the economic difficulties of online tire dealers with their own warehouses, service providers such as Gettygo, who mediate and support business relationships between stationary retailers and suppliers without their own stocks, were named as examples of profitable and sustainable online retailing. In the reader survey carried out every two years by the trade magazines AUTOHAUS and asp Auto Service Praxis , Gettygo won the most votes in 2018 and 2020 as the “best brand” in the “tire trade” category.
