The Metal-Textile-Food Union (GMTN) was an Austrian union that emerged on May 9, 2006 from the merger of the Metal-Textile Union (GMT) and the Agricultural-Food-Enjoyment (GANG) union .

The first federal chairman was Erich Foglar . The federal secretaries were Manfred Felix , Karl Haas and Franz Riepl .

The honorary chairmen were Rudolf Nürnberger , Leopold Simperl , Josef Staribacher and Sepp Wille .

Under the motto self-confident. Combative. The trade union PRO-GE from GMTN and the union of chemical workers  (GdC) was founded in solidarity on November 26th, 2009 in the Austria Center Vienna.
