The Dos Equis Pavilion (formerly Coca-Cola Starplex Amphitheater ) is an amphitheater in Fair Park, Dallas, Texas , United States .

History

The venue opened on July 23, 1988 as the Coca-Cola Starplex Amphitheater with a concert by Rod Stewart . The open-air stage kept this name until 1998, when the naming rights expired. From 1998 to 2000 the amphitheater was known as the Starplex Amphitheater . From 2000 to 2008 the arena was called the Smirnoff Music Center . By 2011, the amphitheater was renamed the Superpages.com Center with a capacity of 20,000 spectators . In 2011 it adopted the name Gexa Energy . In January 2017 the venue was again renamed the Starplex Pavillion. In April 2018 it was renamed the Dos Equis Pavilion.

The Dallas City Council owns the building, which is operated and supervised by Live Nation Entertainment.

In 1988 Eric Clapton and Mark Knopfler performed here as part of their Clapton Knopfler tour .
