Francesco Guarraci

Francesco "Frank" Guarraci (* 1955 in Ribera , Sicily , † April 14, 2016 in Elizabeth , New Jersey ) was a Sicilian-American mobster of the US Cosa Nostra and member of the DeCavalcante family , which has its headquarters in Elizabeth .

Career

Francesco Guarraci was born in Ribera in 1955. In 1967 he emigrated to the United States and in 1989, according to statements by Pentitos Vincent Palermo , during a ceremony by Giovanni Riggi - the boss of the DeCavalcante family - he was accepted into the Cosa Nostra and officially made a Made Man . He was a regular visitor to the Ribera Social Club in Elizabeth and also ran most of his business from there. From 1989 the popular Mafiosi meeting was led by him. In 2010, he reportedly tried to take over Lenny's Brick Oven Pizzeria in Washington Township, New Jersey.

The incumbent underboss Joseph Miranda also took over the position of incumbent boss from 2005 and promoted Guarraci to the capo regime (captain) between 2005 and 2006 . In late 2006 and early 2007, Miranda resigned from his position as acting boss and left Guarraci as the acting boss. Miranda continued to serve as an underboss for the family.

Francesco Guarraci died of cancer on April 14, 2016 at the age of 61.
