history
The GCUC was founded under the name Ghana Christian College & Seminar in 1966 by American and Ghanaian Christians. The aim of the training facility was to educate Christian leaders in Ghana. Initially, the training center was run in rented premises in Kokomlele in Accra. In 1970 the campus was relocated to Abeka, Accra. In 1986 additional properties were acquired and the training center expanded.
Again in 1995, new land was acquired in Amrahia on Dodowa Street in northeast Accra, and the campus was built on the new site by 1997. The training center moved to Amrahia, Accra at the end of 1997. There is accommodation for up to 600 students on the new campus.
Since the academic year 2002, students have been able to acquire a bachelor's degree in preaching (BA in Ministry) and a diploma in religious education and preaching.
