history

Ghods is one of the oldest settlements in Tehran Province. The first bathhouse was built in the 1240s and the first public school was founded in 1341. Before the parish was founded in 1989, Ghods was a village with a fortress. The city's rapid growth began a few decades ago when many factories were built near the old highway. The favorable geographic location has made the city an attractive center for migrants from other parts of the country over the past few decades.
