The Ghomálá ' (translated "language of the country / village") is one of the eleven bantoid Bamileke languages .
It comes from the standard dialect of the Bandjoun and is a written language that is also used by speakers of other Bamileke languages.

The Ghomala 'is mainly spoken in the Western Province of Cameroon:
- Mifi , Koung-Khi and Hauts-Plateaux : Most of the three departments (except the extreme south and parts of the north and west)
- Menoua : east of the department
- in the Bambouto massif
The language had 260,000 speakers in 1982 and, like the other Bamileke languages, belongs to the Semibantu family .

- North Ghomálá '( Fusap , Lang ),
- South Ghomálá '(Te, Pa, Dengkwop)
- Ngemba ( Bamenjou , Bafunda , Bansoua , Baméka , Bamougoum ).
The sub-dialects of Baméka, Bansoa and Balessing come from the southern Ghomala '. The Northern Ghomálá 'has two sub-dialects, the Central Ghomala' has four and the Ngemba has 5.
