Bandjoun is the capital of the Koung-Khi district in the Ouest region in western Cameroon . The national roads N4 and N5 meet in the municipality . The community is 10 kilometers south of Bafoussam .

Attractions

Bandjoun is the home of the Bamileke and the seat of a chief, the Fon . A traditional bamboo hut is located south of the town center. It is 17 meters high and has been constantly renewed over the centuries. It serves as the seat of the Fons. There are rich carvings on the outer facade.
