Gian Paolo Gobbo
Gian Paolo Gobbo (born April 1, 1949 in Treviso ) is an Italian politician of the Lega Nord .
Life
Gobbo was a founding member of the Liga Veneta from 1978 to 1980 . In 1990 and 1995 he was elected to the Consiglio Regionale del Veneto . From 1994 to 1995 he was Vice President of the Italian region of Veneto . From 1999 to 2004 and from 2006 to 2009 he was a member of the European Parliament for Lega Nord. From 2008 to 2013 he was mayor of Treviso. In 2010 he was suspected of membership in a violent organization that existed in the 1990s and got into media coverage.
