Křenovy (German Kschenowa , formerly Křenowa ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located six kilometers east of Horšovský Týn and belongs to the Okres Domažlice .

geography

Křenovy is located below the confluence of the Lukavice brook on the left bank of the Radbuza in the Pilsen Hills. The Peřina (454 m) rises to the south-west and the Volkův kříž ( Walker's Cross , 434 m) to the north-west . The road I / 26 between Horšovský Týn and Stod runs through the village . The Staňkov – Poběžovice railway line runs south of the village on the opposite bank of the river .

history

The first written mention of the village took place in 1379. In 1390 the Kladruby monastery acquired part of the village. The monastic share was pledged to the Puclice estate in the 16th century . Later the entire village became the property of the estate. The Theresian cadastre lists eleven farmers, a baker, an innkeeper and the manorial mill for Křenovy. After the Counts of Trauttmansdorff had acquired the Puclice estate, they added it to their rule Horšovsky Týn.

After the abolition of patrimonial Křenové formed from 1850 a municipality in the judicial district of Bischofteinitz . From 1868 Křenové belonged to the Bischofteinitz district and in 1869 was incorporated into Puclice. In 1890 the village broke away from Puclice and formed its own municipality under the name Křenova . In 1900 there were 264 people in the village, compared to 244 in 1910. At the beginning of the 20th century the village was called Křenov , the current place name Křenovy has been used since 1924. In 1960 the municipality was assigned to the Okres Domažlice . Between 1985 and 1990 Křenovy was incorporated into Horšovský Týn .
