Mrákov (German Mraken , formerly Mrdaken ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located five kilometers southeast of Domažlice and belongs to the Okres Domažlice .
geography
Mrákov is located in the Cham-Further valley ( Všerubská vrchovina ). To the north rises the Na Skále (468 m), in the south of the Přední vrchovo (557 m).
Neighboring towns are Bezděkovské Předměstí and Smolov in the north, Spáňov in the northeast, Kout na Šumavě in the east, Starý Klíčov in the southeast, Štítovky, Mlýneček and Maxov in the south, Krásnice, Filipova Hora and Pelechy in the southwest, and Podvesčnice and Tlýnice in the west. Stráž and Nevolice in the northwest.
history
The first documentary mention of Mrdaken took place in 1325 in the Chodenprivileg of Johann von Luxemburg as one of the eleven privileged Chodendörfer.
There is evidence of a school since the 18th century. In 1785 the parish Mrdaken was spun off from the deanery of Taus . In 1792 200 children from Mrdaken, Klitschau and Tilmitschau were taught in the school. The church was built in the years 1811–1813.
After the abolition of patrimonial Mrdákov / Mrdaken formed a community in the judicial district of Taus from 1850. From 1868 the municipality belonged to the Taus district . The name form Mrákov / Mraken has been in use since 1890. 1961 Smolov was umgemeindet from Spáňov to Mrákov. On November 24, 1990 Klíčov (with the districts Bělohrad, Mlýneček, Nový Klíčov, Starý Klíčov and Štítovky) was incorporated.
Community structure
The municipality of Mrákov consists of the districts Mlýneček ( stables ), Mrákov ( Mraken ), Nový Klíčov ( New Klitschau ), Smolov ( Smolow ) and Starý Klíčov ( Old Klitschau ). Basic settlement units are Mlýneček, Mrákov, Nový Klíčov, Smolov, Starý Klíčov and Štítovky ( Stitowsky ). Mrákov also owns the one- shift Bělohrad ( Weisberg )
The municipality is divided into the cadastral districts Klíčov u Mrákova ( Klitschau ), Mrákov and Smolov u Domažlic.
