Štichov (German stitch ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located four kilometers west of Holýšov and belongs to the Okres Domažlice .

geography

Štichov is located on the left side of the Chuchla brook in the Pilsen Hills. To the north rises the Na Plachtě (456 m) and to the east the Makový vrch (480 m). To the south is the Staňkov airfield.

Neighboring towns are Všekary and Honezovice in the north, Neuměř in the north-east, Kvíčovice and Dolní Kamenice in the east, Horní Kamenice and Ohučov in the south-east, Staňkov , Stříbrnice and Vránov in the south, Křenovy , Puclice and Malý Malahov in the south-west, and Čečemnice in the west and Černovice in the northwest.

history

The first written mention of the Vladikensitz Scychov took place in 1379. In the 16th century Štichov was attached to the Čečovice manor. In 1546 the Lords Lobkowicz von Hassenstein bought the Čečovice manor and united it with their rule Bischofteinitz . In the Theresian cadastre from 1757, 14 farms and a village smithy are identified for engraving, 122 people lived in the village. In 1839, Stich had 211 inhabitants, the place on the language border was mixed-language. Stitch remained subservient to Bischofteinitz until the middle of the 19th century.

After the abolition of patrimonial formed Štichov / engraving from 1850 a municipality in the Klatovy district and jurisdiction Bischofteinitz . From 1868 the community belonged to the Bischofteinitz district . Zinc and lead mining was carried out in the vicinity of the village. The school was built in 1912. The volunteer fire brigade was established in 1936. In 1940, Štichov consisted of 52 houses in which 247 people lived. The school was closed in 1942, and between 1952 and 1978 the previous building was used as an inn. In 1949 the community was assigned to Okres Stod, since its abolition in 1960 it has belonged to Okres Domažlice. In 1960 it was incorporated into Kvíčovice.

Between 1984 and 1990, Štichov was part of Holýšov.
