Babette Allram

Babette Allram ( 1794 - August 7, 1872 in Prague ) was a German opera singer and stage actress .

Life

Like all Allram, this one also devoted most of her artistic life to the Prague stage. Originally she was used as a lover in both opera and drama. Later she achieved the greatest successes as a local singer. But she had to give up this subject when Johann August Stöger took over the management and move on to that of the charged and funny mothers. But also as a "vain, in love and quarrelsome maiden, as a bad woman, unpleasant coquette" she had great success. She retired on July 1, 1841, but the Prague citizens did not have to forego her artistic achievements, for she continued to appear as a guest on the boards for a long number of years. One of her last outstanding performances was "The old woman" in "Verschwender".

She was married to Josef Allram . Her daughter Gabriele Allram also became an actress.
