J. Michael Padgett

J. Michael Padgett is an American classical archaeologist .

J. Michael Padgett received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Kentucky in 1975 . This was followed in 1984 with a Master of Arts degree from the University of Minnesota . At Harvard University Padgett was founded in 1989 with a thesis Geras Painter doctorate . From 1983 to 1984 he worked as an assistant at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts , then at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston , and from 1990 to 1992 as Curator of Classical Art at the Tampa Museum of Art . Since 1992 he has been the Curator of Ancient Art at the Department ofAncient, Byzantine, and Islamic Art of the Princeton University Art Museum . He is a visiting lecturer at Princeton University and has been participating in archaeological research at the University of Polis Chrysochous (possibly Marion ) in Cyprus since 1996 . The specialist in Greek vase painting in particular curated several exhibitions.
