Horní Kamenice (German Ober Kamenzen ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located three kilometers northeast of Staňkov and belongs to the Okres Domažlice .

geography

Horní Kamenice is located on the western edge of the Wittuna forest in the Radbuza valley . The Srbický stream flows through the village. The Kamenná hora ( Wittunaberg , 507 m) rises in the southeast . The Plzeň – Furth railway line runs along the Radbuza to the west of the village. The nearest railway station is Dolní Kamenice .

history

The village was first mentioned in a document in 1115.

After the abolition of patrimonial formed upper Kamenzen / Horní Kamenice in 1850 with the district sub Kamenzen / Dolni Kamenice a municipality in the Pilsener circle and judicial district Bischofteinitz . From 1868 the community belonged to the Bischofteinitz district . Between 1899 and 1910 it was called Kamenzen / Kamenice . Under Kamenzen in 1910 it became an independent municipality. The official name of the municipality of Kamenzen was not changed until after 1918.

In 1948 Horní Kamenice was assigned to Okres Stod, and since 1961 the village has belonged to Okres Domažlice . In 1961 Dolní Kamenice was incorporated. On May 1, 1980 it was incorporated into Holýšov . Horní Kamenice broke away from Holýšov on November 24, 1990 and formed its own community; Dolní Kamenice, however, remained with Holýšov.
