Chodov (German: Meigelshof ) is a municipality with 663 inhabitants in Okres Domažlice in the Czech Republic . It is located eight kilometers west of Domažlice on the edge of the Bohemian Forest not far from the German border near Waldmünchen .
Chodov is one of the eleven villages in the Chod region . To the southwest of the village is the 1042 m high Čerchov ( Schwarzkopf ).
There are two stone crosses in the village. One marks the grave of a Russian military man from the time of the Napoleonic Wars , the other dates from 1674.
In 1939 there were 635 inhabitants in the village. From 1940 to 1945 the community belonged to the Bavarian district of Waldmünchen .
