Draženov (German Trasenau ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located five kilometers northwest of Domažlice and belongs to the Okres Domažlice .
geography
Draženov is on the I / 26 road between Horšovský Týn and Furth im Wald , from which roads I / 22 to Domažlice and II / 189 to Waldmünchen branch off on the western edge of the village . The valley of the Černý potok lies to the west , the Mračnický potok rises to the east .
history
The place was first mentioned in a document in 1325 when King John of Luxembourg granted privileges to the Chode villages .
After the abolition of patrimonial formed Trasenau / Dražinov 1850 a municipality in the county and judicial district Pilsener Taus. From 1868 the municipality belonged to the Taus district . The Czech name Draženov has been used since the beginning of the 20th century.
