Church of St. Adalbert

Milavče (German Milawetsch ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located five kilometers northeast of Domažlice and belongs to the Okres Domažlice .

geography

Milavče is located on the left side of the Zubřina brook in Chodská pahorkatina. The Háj rises to the west ( Waldowaer Hay , 499 m). The village lies on the Plzeň – Furth railway line in the forest .

Neighboring towns are Výrov, Nahošice and Nový Mlýn in the north, Františkov, Malonice and Lštění in the Northeast, Na Brandejse and Božkovy the east, Hříchovice and Radinice the southeast, Zahořany , Sedlice, Bořice, Spálený Mlyn and Vodolenka in the south, Chrastavice in the southwest, Luženičky , Luženice, Baldov, Dolní Baldov and Bozdíš in the west and Třebnice, Němčice, Jeníkovice and Mrchojedy in the north-west.

history

Milavče is the site of a magnificent grave from the late Bronze Age . The burial mound with a stone wreath contained a full-hilted sword of the Riegsee type and a four-wheeled bronze tank car . The excavation gave its name to the Milaveč culture, which is represented by burial mound fields from the late Bronze Age and the Early Urn Field Age in southwestern Bohemia. Characteristic are cremations, partly in and partly without clay urns with numerous metal additions.

The village was first mentioned in a document in 1302.

After the abolition of patrimonial formed Milavče / Milawetsch 1850 with the hamlet Boškovy / Boschkau a municipality in the county and judicial district Pilsener Taus. From 1868 the municipality belonged to the Taus district . In 1960 Nahošice and in 1971 Radonice were incorporated. Nahošice broke away in 1990 and joined the Blížejov municipality .

Community structure

The municipality Milavče consists of the districts Božkovy ( Boschkau ), Milavče ( Milawetsch ) and Radonice ( Radonitz ). Milavče to include monolayer Na Brandejse, Na Ovčíně and Nový Mlýn.

The municipality is divided into the cadastral districts of Milavče and Radonice u Milavčí.
