The first written mention of the village took place in 1393 in connection with the provost Racek. At the beginning of the Hussite Wars , the provost's office went out. In the 15th century the village including the church of St. Laurentius was burned down, its corridors were later bought by Tauser citizens. In 1579 Jakub Skala from Taus bought the farm of the Bohemian Chamber in Pasečnice, his son Jan sold it to the town of Taus for 500 Meissen groschen in 1586. This let the desert village be repopulated with Czech settlers on April 4, 1590. In the 18th century alum slate was mined on the Salka and an alum smelter was operated in Stará Huť.

After the Pasečnice farm, the Havlovice farm , the Böhmisch Kubitzen farm and the Býšen farm had been confiscated from the property of the town of Taus by an imperial patent dated March 1, 1777, family settlements began in their corridors. The settlement of Nová Pasečnice, created by the parceling of the Pasečnice farm, was first mentioned in writing in 1789. The older village was henceforth called Stará Pasečnice. Stará Pasečnice, Nová Pasečnice, Česká Kubice, Havlovice, Babylon and Petrovice formed a village municipality, the lower jurisdiction exercised the judge in Petrovice.

After the abolition of patrimonial formed Nová Pažežnice / New Paschnitz and Stará Pažežnice / Old Paschnitz 1850 districts of the municipality Havlovice in the judicial district Taus. From 1868 both villages belonged to the Taus district . In 1880 Česká Kubice , Nová Pažežnice and Stará Pažežnice broke away from Havlovice and formed the municipality of Pažežnice . In 1916 the municipality Pažežnice was divided into the two municipalities Pažežnice and Česká Kubice. At the beginning of the 20th century the municipality had the Czech name Pašešnice t. Pažežnice , the current form of the name Pasečnice was introduced in 1923. In 1907, while building a barn on the Stará Pasečnice estate no. 34, called U Kostelíku , the foundations of the medieval church of St. Lawrence were found. In the 1921 census, 555 people lived in the community, including 546 Czechs and nine Germans.
