history

The first written mention of the village Vsilov , which belongs to the Švihov castle , was made in 1379 in the tax register of the Pilsen region. Before 1403, Vssylov became the seat of Vladiken Vilémek, who probably belonged to a sideline of the Lords of Riesenberg . The next owner was Vilémek's daughter Eliška. In 1451 Jan Výrek von Riesenberg acquired the estate and moved his seat from the Výrov Fortress to Úsilov. There were mutual armed attacks between the brothers Jindřich and Nachval Výrek von Riesenberg and Duke Ludwig von Landshut because of claims for wages and damages. The conflict between Bohemian and Bavarian noblemen intensified in 1472 when the Výrek von Riesenberg and 2000 men raided the area of Viechtach and Deilnstein. Another campaign was directed against the property of the ducal councilor Paul Streitenberger. In the autumn of 1473, Duke Albrecht IV sent a Bavarian army under Captain Wolfgang Waldekar to Bohemia, which burned down the villages of Černíkov, Vílov, Smržovice, Libkov, Rudoltice, Mlýnec and Babice as well as Úsi1ov. With this furious attack, which affected not only the goods of the Výrek von Riesenberg, but also the village of Poleň , which belonged to his ally Břeněk von Ronšperk, as well as other landlords , Duke Albrecht created new enemies in Bohemia. Then the brothers Výrek von Riesenberg divided the devastated rule; Jindřich received Černíkov and Nachval Úsilov. After 1481 Nachval's son Jan Výrek Úsilov inherited, with him the branch of the Výrek von Riesenberg expired in 1514. Úsilov fell to Jindřich Švihovský von Riesenberg, who sold the fortress, the farm and the village of Úsilov, the desert villages of Vílov and Libkov and his share in Smržovice to Zdebor from Příchovice. From 1533 the place was called Ausylow . In 1545 Zdebor's son Jindřich took over the property. Jindřich's son Jan von Příchovice inherited Ausylow in 1559 . He remained childless and in 1571 appointed his wife Anna, née Wiedersperger von Wiedersperg, and their relatives as heirs of the Ausylow fortress with the villages of Ausylow , Vílov and Slavíkovice and the desert village of Lhotka. In 1574 both spouses died, the estate fell to the sons of Anna's brother Bohuslav. In 1577 Balzar Wiedersperger was the sole owner of Ausylow , followed by his son Johann. During the class uprising, the Catholic and mercenary Johann Wiedersperger involuntarily switched to the service of the class army. In 1624 he sold the over-indebted estate with the old and new festivals, the farm, the villages of Ausylow and Vílov and three mills for 32,500 Meißniche shock to the imperial officer Johann Philipp Cratz von Scharffenstein , who had already acquired the Riesenberg rule . Cratz later defected into Swedish services and was executed in 1635. The confiscated Ausylow estate was sold by the Bohemian Chamber to the Bavarian councilor Johann Ulrich Burghauser, who was followed by his son-in-law Johann Philipp Schütz von Drahenitz. In a description of the estate from 1651, 25 families with 113 people are listed for the village of Úsilov. The berní rula of 1654 shows 22 subservient families for Ausylow . Franz Philipp Schütz von Drahenitz sold the Ausylow estate to Margarethe Ludmilla Wenzlik, who exchanged it in 1694 with Franz Hartmann von Klenau on Roupov for the Drslavice estate near Klatovy . The Count von Klenau attached the Ausylow estate to his Poleň estate, which meant that the fortress also lost its importance as a manor. In 1711 the Counts of Czernin von und zu Chudenitz bought the estate and united it with their Chudenice lordship . In the Theresian Cadastre of 1757 17 subordinate families are named for Ausylow . In the course of time the village was called Ousilov , Ouslov , Houslov , Houslovo or Ausilau , until the middle of the 19th century it remained subject to the Chudenitz rule.

After the abolition of patrimonial Ousilov / Ausilau formed a community in the Klattauer Kreis and judicial district of Neugedein from 1850. From 1868 the municipality belonged to the Taus district . Since 1880 the Czech name Úsilov t. Ousilov used. In 1894 a one-class village school was opened, before lessons took place in Slavíkovice. Between 1904 and 1905 the road from Vílov via Úsilov to Mezholezy was built. In the course of the land reform, the Úsilov estate, which had shrunk from 48 to 28 hectares, was sold in 1922 to the former Czernin estate manager Jan Balák. Since 1924, Úsilov was used as the Czech place name . In 1937 the landowner Kohout from Soustov bought the Úsilov manor for his son Josef. During the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia , Josef Kohout was involved with the occupiers and served as mayor and government commissioner. Kohout's guests at the estate included a. the Minister for Education and Public Enlightenment Emanuel Moravec as well as Gestapo and Wehrmacht officers. After the end of the Second World War, the Úsilov estate was confiscated and the Kohout couple were sentenced as collaborators to 26 years in prison. After the Velvet Revolution , the heirs of Josef Kohout asserted restitution claims on the property. Because of the still unclear ownership situation, the community stopped its repair work on the fortress.
