Poděvousy (German Podiefuss ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located five kilometers southeast of Staňkov and belongs to the Okres Domažlice .
geography
Poděvousy is located south of the Wittunawald in the Pilsen hill country. The village lies on the right side above the valley of the Srbický potok in the basin of a small tributary. The Kamenná hora ( Wittunaberg , 507 m) rises to the north, the Srnčí vrch (535 m) to the east, the Ptenínská hora (492 m) and the Buková hora (511 m) to the south-east and the Holec (545 m) to the south. Road II / 183 between Domažlice and Přeštice runs through the village .
Neighboring towns are Holýšov , Zelený Háj, Vytůň, Na Sklárně and Líšina in the north, Čelákovy, Lhota and Buková in the Northeast, Hráz, Ptenín , Háje and Újezdec in the east, Křenice and Strýčkovice the southeast, Těšovice, Zichov and Chocomyšl in the south, Srbice , Nové Dvory and Hlohovčice in the southwest, Hlohová and Čermná in the west and Krchleby, Víšek and Horní Kamenice in the northwest.
history
Poděvousy was first mentioned in writing in 1115 as the property of the Kladruby Monastery .
After the abolition of patrimonial Poděvousy / Podiefuß formed a community in the judicial district of Bischofteinitz from 1850 . From 1868 the community belonged to the Bischofteinitz district . In 1949 Poděvousy was assigned to Okres Stod, and since 1961 the village has belonged to Okres Domažlice . From 1961 Poděvousy was incorporated into Čermná and then between 1980 and 1990 to Srbice.
