history

The first news about Chřenice or Chřen comes from the 10th century. The manor belonged to the possessions of the Lords of Drslavice and later the descendants of Dolansky von Riesenberg , who set up a fortress in Chřenice . In 1339 the Kczenicz estate was sold to the Chotieschau monastery . In the 15th century, the monastery, which was ruined by the Hussite Wars, sold the Křenice manor to the lords of Kamenice. At the beginning of the 16th century, Wenzel Pětipeský von Schönhof Křenice was awarded after a court decision. Then the owners of the estate changed in quick succession. Dietrich Valečský von Vřesovice, who bought Křenice in the middle of the 16th century, had a new fortress built on the manor in the second half of the 16th century. At the end of the 17th century, Johann Hermann Czernin von und zu Chudenitz bought the Křenice manor and added it to his Ježovy manor . His daughter had to cede the over-indebted property to Ferdinand Franz Graf von Morzin in 1738, who added it to his rule Merklin . The Counts of Morzin held the property until the beginning of the 20th century. In the course of time the village was also called Krzemicz , Kšenice , Kssenicze and Kschenitz .

After the abolition of patrimonial formed Křenice / Krzenitz 1850 a municipality in the judicial district Přestitz. From 1868 the community belonged to the Přestice district . At the beginning of the 20th century, Eduard Pálffy von Erdőd inherited the Křenice estate, followed shortly before the First World War by his son Johann Pálffy von Erdőd. In the course of the municipal reform in 1961, Kámen, Přetín and Biřkov (with Zderaz) were incorporated and the municipality was assigned to the Okres Klatovy . Biřkov and Zderaz broke away from Křenice on January 1, 1992 and formed their own community.

Community structure

The municipality Křenice consists of the districts and cadastral districts Kámen ( Kameno , 1939–45 stone ), Křenice ( Krenitz ) and Přetín ( Pschetin , formerly Przetin ). The one-layer Chumecký Mlýn ( Chumetz Mill ) also belongs to Křenice .
