Dlažov (German Glosau ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located ten kilometers southwest of the city center of Klatovy and belongs to the Okres Klatovy .

geography

Dlažov is located in the southern highlands Chudenická ( Chudenitzer Bergland ) above the Janovický úval ( Janowitzer sink ). To the north rise the Dlažovská hůrka (611 m) and the Hodiška (645 m), in the northeast the Hrádek (535 m), southwest the Pohoří ( Pohory , 624 m) and in the west the Svatá Marketa ( St. Margarethenberg , 642 m) . Road I / 22 runs between Kdyně and Klatovy one kilometer north of Dlažov .

Neighboring towns are Slavíkovice, Vráž, Buková and Struhadlo in the north, Soustov, Vítaná and Bezděkov in the north-east, Plešiny and Rohozno in the east, Spůle and Veselí in the south-east, Dubová Lhota, Miletice and Běhařov in the south, U Červenků, Pocinovice and south-west , Na Ovčině, Nový Mlýn, Maškův Mlýn, Chodská Lhota and Libkov in the west and Modlín, Draha, V Háji and Nová Víska in the north-west.

history

Dlažov was first mentioned in documents in 1379 in the tax register of the Pilsen region. The village, laid out as a forest hoof village, was at that time divided between the three noblemen . Two hubs and the farm belonged to a Sezima, Heřman and Vojtěch each had a three-quarter hat, the owners of the other properties were subservient to them. The village was multi-lingual, with Czech-speaking residents initially forming the majority. After 1410 Přibík von Klenová acquired the entire village. He became one of the leaders of the Hussites in the Hussite Wars . During this time, the German-speaking residents fled Dlažov. In 1426 a German army moved against Přibík von Klenová and burned Dlažov. After the wars, the Dlažov manor belonged to Jan Štěpánovic. In 1561 Oldřich Janovský von Janovice, a son of Smil Janovský on Soustov, bought part of the village. The other part was owned by his brother Vladislav.

At the end of the 18th century, Karl Nigroni von Riesenbach owned the Glosau estate. At that time the Klattauer Kreis had developed into a center for flax and wool spinning. In 1785 a factory with 43 looms started operations in Glosau. In 1787 the new branch church of St. Consecrated to Anthony. A new cemetery was laid out in 1835 at the southern exit of the town. In the same year the rectory was built.

After the abolition of patrimonial formed Glosau / Dlažďov 1850 and the district Neudorf / Nová Víska a municipality in the judicial district Neugedein. in 1852 the locality Glosau was raised to a parish. From 1868 the village belonged to the Taus district . In 1883 the Jewish community built a synagogue on the village square with separate areas for men and women, a school and a matzo bakery, which was operated until 1926. The Jewish burials took place in the Loučim forest cemetery . In 1883, 25 residents of Dlažďov left the village for America, a total of 100 people from the villages that are now part of Dlažďov sought their luck at the other end of the "Great Pond" during the great wave of emigration that year. Since the beginning of the 20th century, the Czech place name Dlážďov t. Dlažov used. The name Dlažov has been used since 1924 . In the course of the territorial reform of 1960 Dlažov was transferred from the Okres Domažlice to the Okres Klatovy . In 1961 Miletice and Soustov (with Vráž) were incorporated. On July 1, 1975, Buková was incorporated into Dlažov.

Community structure

The community Dlažov consists of the districts Buková ( Bukowa , 1939–45: Buchen ), Dlažov ( Glosau ), Miletice ( Miletitz ), Nová Víska ( Neudorf ), Soustov ( Soustow , formerly Saustawa ) and Vráž ( Wrasch ). Basic settlement units are Buková, Dlažov, Miletice, Nová Víska and Soustov. Dlažov also includes the layers Draha and V Háji.

The municipality is divided into the cadastral districts of Buková u Klatov, Dlažov, Miletice u Dlažova and Soustov.

  • Svatá Marketa mountain with St. Margaret's Chapel from the 1st half of the 19th century and a lookout tower opened on January 1st, 2014
  • Church of St. Anthony of Padua in Dlažov, built in 1787 in place of a chapel dedicated to the Virgin Mary. The church tower was added in 1849.
