history

Tužice was first mentioned in documents in 1361 as part of the regulation of the inheritance of Ondřej Buchta von Lhota, in which the brothers Dlouhomil and Ješek were also heard before the office of Schüttenhofen . In 1374 Bušek von Zavlekov on Zavlekov signed the villages Tužice, Zavlekov and Mladice, the Mladice farm and various farms as a morning gift to his wife Eliška . In 1404 Johann von Hirschstein ( Jan z Herštejna ) bought the property. His son Wilhelm struggled in 1455 against the measures imposed by the death of Eliška of Zavlekov escheat and tried his goods Zavlekov, Tužice, Přebořice and Buršice to keep. King George of Podebrady ended the dispute in 1465 and awarded the goods to Wilhelm von Hirschstein ( Vilém z Herštejna ), as his father had bought them publicly at a market. Jan Herštejnský von Welhartitz sold the goods in 1480 to Půta Švihovský von Riesenberg , in 1504 his son Břetislav inherited the property.

In 1543 Peter Zmrzlík von Welding acquired the Tužice estate and connected it to his Neprachow ( Neprochovy ) fortress . The following year, Zmrzlík also bought the Ústaleč, Buršice and Mladice estates. From 1553 the Neprachow rule belonged to his widow and son Zdeněk, who died in 1558. Then Zdeněk's sister Barbora inherited the rule. She also died young and bequeathed Neprachow on his deathbed in 1578 to her husband Georg Lobkowicz von Hassenstein , who united Neprachow with his rule Ellischau ( Nalžovy ). His widow Hedwig, nee Zajíc von Hasenburg , sold the rule Ellischau with Neprachow in 1591 to Karl Švihovský von Riesenberg auf Přeštice . He was followed by his son Bedrich. In 1602 he bought the Hnáň fish pond from the Dlauhowesky from Wlcznow. Bedřich Švihovský von Riesenberg also gradually acquired the surrounding estates Silberberg ( Stříbrné Hory ), Těchonice, Žďár, Radice, Velenovy, Ústaleč, Mladice, Buršice, Zahrádka, Letovy, Hradešice , Černovy, Hradešice and Hradečnačna, Plichtážice, Sedlečnač.

During the uprising of the estates , Bedřich Švihovský von Riesenberg was elected to the estates directorate in 1618; after the battle of the White Mountain he was spared any punishment. His son, the captain of the Prachiner district and chairman of the Supreme Court of the Kingdom of Bohemia, Ferdinand Švihovský von Riesenberg, inherited a prosperous rule that had been spared from the war in 1635. Then the Thirty Years War also reached this area. In the berní rula of 1654, numerous properties were listed as desolate. In 1679 Ferdinand Švihovský extended the rule to include the Krutěnice manor. He was followed by his lavish son Jaroslav, who finally had to cede the rule of Ellischau to his creditors at the beginning of the 18th century.

1716 Norbert Graf von Pötting and Persing bought the rule. He was followed by Wenzel Maria Josef von Pötting and Persing, who was able to expand the rule in 1739 to include the Zavlekov and Svojše estates. The first tavern was entered in the Tužice land register in 1767. In 1769 Franz Xaver Count Taaffe acquired the rule. He died in 1803 without any descendants, the inheritance fell to his nephew Rudolf Count Taaffe . He was followed by Ludwig Count Taaffe . Until the middle of the 19th century, the village remained subordinate to Ellischau.

After the abolition of patrimonial formed Tužice / Tuschitz 1850 a district of the municipality Zavlekov in the judicial district Planitz. Karl Graf Taaffe inherited the large estate in 1855, followed by his brother Eduard Graf Taaffe in 1869 . From 1868 the village belonged to the Klattau district . Heinrich Count Taaffe inherited the estate in 1895 . In 1907 Tužice broke away from Zavlekov and formed its own municipality. Eduard Karl Richard Taaffe, who in 1928 inherited his father's goods, which had been greatly reduced by the land reform, sold them to the Prague banker František Müller in 1936 because of over-indebtedness. In 1949 Tužice was assigned to the newly formed Okres Horažďovice, after its abolition it came back to Okres Klatovy in 1960. In 1961 Tužice was again incorporated into Zavlekov. Since January 1st, 1994 the Tužice municipality exists again.
