history

The village was first mentioned in documents in 1227 as the property of the St. George Monastery at Prague Castle . In 1305 the monastery sold the Pačejov estate. Subsequently, a fortress was built in the place, which became the seat of a small manor. During the Thirty Years' War the Pačejov manor belonged to the von Pernklau family. In 1667 Ignaz Karl von Sternberg bought the Patschiw estate and added it to his rule Horažďowitz . He sold the estate to his brother Wenzel Adalbert in 1675. In 1685 Wenzel Adalbert von Sternberg had the church renovated. In 1719 the Lords of Sternberg sold the Horažďovice estate to Philippina von Thun and Hohenstein . The subsequent owners were the Counts of Mansfeld between 1721 and 1749 , then Wenzel Maria Josef von Pötting and Persing until 1752 and then Heinrich Franz von Mansfeld and Fondi until 1755. In 1755 the princes Löwenstein-Wertheim acquired the rule Horažďovice and placed it under the administration of the administration of the princely Löwensteinschen estates in Wertheim . In 1787 an own localist was introduced in Pachiv . In 1800 the Counts von Rummerskirch inherited the rule of Horažďovice and established a manorial superior office in Horažďovice. The locality Pachiv was abolished on February 27, 1803 by a gubernial decree and the patronage over the church Maria Schnee was returned to the rule Horažďowitz. Karl von Rummerskirch sold the rule after several bad investments in 1834 to Rudolf Kinsky von Wchinitz and Tettau , to whom it was subordinated to the Princely Kinsky property management.

In 1837 consisted Patschiw or Pačiw or Pačiwa of 53 houses with 337 inhabitants, including two Israelite families. In the village there was a small castle with an apartment for officials and hunters, a yard , the Maria Schnee branch church and a school under the joint patronage of the authorities and religious fund. A sheep farm ( Ovčín ) and a hunter's house were situated apart . The parish was Klein-Bor . In 1843, Patschiw, Welleschitz and Teyřovice were parished out from Klein-Bor, and school lessons for the three villages also took place in Patschiw from then on. Until the middle of the 19th century, Pachiv remained subordinate to the allodial rule Horažďowitz.

After the abolition of patrimonial formed Pačejov / Patschiw 1850 with the districts Týřovice and Velešice a municipality in the judicial district Horažďowitz. From 1868 the village belonged to the Strakonitz district . In the same year, traffic on the railway line České Budějovice – Plzeň was added; In the open field between Wolschan and Straschowitz ( Strážovice ) at the pond Buxin the Wolschan train station was built, it was later renamed Pačejov because it is on its cadastre. The districts Týřovice and Velešice broke away from Pačejov in 1893 and formed the municipality Velešice. From 1949 Pačejov belonged to Okres Horažďovice, after its abolition the community was assigned to Okres Klatovy in 1960. 1961 Maňovice , Strážovice and Velešice (with Týřovice) were incorporated. Maňovice was umgemeindet in 1976 to Velký Bor , instead Kvášňovice and Olšany were added as districts. Since November 24, 1990, Kvášňovice and Olšany have been independent again. In the last quarter of the 20th century, the residential estates Olšany-u nádraží and Pačejov-u nádraží were built around the Pačejov train station and in the corridors of Olšany and Pačejov. The latter in particular grew strongly due to its convenient connection through the state road II / 186 between Defurovy Lážany and Plánice and developed into the new center of the community. On July 1, 2000 Pačejov-nádraží received the status of a district. In addition to the municipal office, there is also a post office in Pačejov-nádraží today.
