Mezihoří is located in the Schwihauer Uplands (Švihovská vrchovina) between the Tuhošť (601 m) and Běleč (712 m) mountains on the Mezihořský potok.

history
The old Tuhošť castle was probably located on the Tuhošť , at the foot of which the village was built. Mezhorzy was first mentioned in a document in 1548. In 1563, Humprecht Černín von Chudenitz auf Švihov acquired the place from Heralt Kavka. Around 1601 the village was divided into two parts. In 1662 Anna Magdalena Černínová von Haras became the owner of the entire village.
Until the abolition of patrimonial rule in 1848, Mezihoří remained in the Švihov rule and then became part of the Lhovice municipality in the Klattau judicial district. From 1880 Mezihoří formed its own municipality in the Klattau district . Between 1950 and 1960 there was a reclassification in the Okres Přeštice. This was dissolved in the course of the regional reform of 1960 and at the same time Mezihoří also lost its independence. By January 1, 1992 Mezihoří was incorporated into Švihov and then became independent again.
