Tuhošť

Tuhošť ( Tugocz ) is a mountain in the Švihovská vrchovina ( Schwihauer Bergland ) near Mezihoří in today's Plzeňský kraj in the southern Czech Republic .

A Bohemian castle has been located here at least since the 10th century.

history

In 1086, in the border description of the diocese of Prague, the Tuhost Castle is mentioned as a border point of the diocese. It was the center of the Archdeaconate Hořov , for which a tithe list is handed down in 1384.
