Olšany (German Wolschan ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located twelve kilometers east of Plánice and belongs to the Okres Klatovy .
geography
Olšany is located on the south shore of the pond Kozčínský rybník in the highlands Nepomucká ( Nepomuker highlands ). To the south is the Buxin pond and to the west is the Myslívský rybník. To the northeast rises the Na Hromadných (534 m), in the east the Soudná (569 m), southwest of the Plesník (605 m) and in the northwest of the Oumyšl (573 m). The Oseker Forest extends to the southeast. The railway line České Budějovice – Plzeň runs west of Olšany , the nearest station is Pačejov . South of the state road II / 186 between Defurovy Lážany and Plánice passes Olšany, there is no direct connection.
Neighboring towns are Pod vrazi, U Cihelny, Vránovic Mlyn and Nekvasovy in the north, Slávenky, Kvášňovice , Oselce and Černice in the Northeast, Defurovy Łazany, Újezd u Chanovic and Osek in the east, Maňovice and Jetenovice the southeast, Pačejov , Ovčín and Pačejov-U nádraží in the south, Olšany-U nádraží in the south-west, Loužná, Štipoklasy and Nehodiv in the west and Myslív , Milčice and Kovčín in the north-west.
history
The first written mention of the village took place in 1227. In 1614 the Kozčínský rybník pond was created.
After the abolition of patrimonial formed Volšany / Wolschan 1850 a district of the municipality Kvášňovice in the judicial district Horažďowitz. From 1868 the village belonged to the Strakonitz district . In the same year, traffic on the railway line České Budějovice – Plzeň was added; the Wolschan station in the open field between Wolschan and Straschowitz was later renamed Pačejov. In 1887 Volšany broke away from Kvášňovice and formed its own municipality. At the beginning of the 20th century the village was called Volšany t. Olšany , since 1924 is Olšany used as a place name. From 1949 Olšany belonged to the Okres Horažďovice, after its abolition the municipality was assigned to the Okres Klatovy in 1960. On July 1, 1975 the new incorporation to Kvášňovice took place, between 1976 and 1990 Olšany belonged to Pačejov as a district . Since November 24, 1990, Olšany has again formed its own municipality.
