history

It is believed that the village was founded in the 12th century by the Cistercian monastery of Pomuk . The name Újezd comes from the time of the Slavic land expansion and was used in the 12th-14th centuries. Century awarded. Gold mining was carried out at Újezd until the 15th century, and the field names Ve Štůlích , Na Mosurkách and Na Červenici are still reminiscent of this . After the Hussites, led by Jan Žižka, destroyed the Pomuk monastery on their way from Rabí Castle to Pilsen in 1420, Wilhelm Kostka von Postupitz first appropriated the lands around Planitz . King Sigismund pledged the rule of Pomuk on August 22, 1420 to the brothers Bohuslav and Hynek Krušina von Schwanberg . The rule Grünberg arose from the monastery property . After Žižka's army failed again in 1421 to take Rabí Castle, the rebels moved to Žinkovy via Struhadlo . They shot at the city of Planitz from the hills around Struhadlo and partially burned it down. Probably during this time the village went out.

Adam von Sternberg , who had acquired the rule Grünberg after 1536, had the village of Újezd rebuilt in 1551. On February 4, 1558, the rule Grünberg was assigned to the treasurer of the Kingdom of Bohemia and Oberstlandschreiber by Emperor Ferdinand I in the land table as hereditary property. In 1562 Adam von Sternberg divided his property between his four sons, while Ladislav received the rule of Grünberg. Ladislav von Sternberg, like his sons afterwards, managed the estate poorly; in 1606 Ladislav d. J. von Sternberg incapacitated. Adolf Bernhard von Martinic , who had acquired the rule Grünberg from Leopold von Sternberg in 1726, gradually bought back the goods around Planitz and Niemtschitz. In 1760 Adolf Bernhard von Martinic was executed for the murder of his grandson, who came from an inappropriate relationship between his daughter and his forester. After the loss of her child, Maria Dominika von Martinic entered the monastery of St. Anna in Vienna . In 1790 she sold the property to Count Franz von Wallis , who bequeathed it to Count Colloredo-Mannsfeld. In 1834 the rule belonged to Countess Wilhelmine von Auersperg nee Colloredo-Mannsfeld .

After the abolition of patrimonial Oujezd / Augezd formed a community in the judicial district of Planitz from 1850. From 1868 the village belonged to the Klattau district . The quarrying was important. The school house was built in 1895. The volunteer fire brigade was formed in 1899. At the beginning of the 20th century, Oujezd consisted of almost 90 houses and had over 500 inhabitants. From 1924 Újezd was used as a Czech place name. To distinguish it from other places of the same name, the municipality has had the official name Újezd u Plánice since 1961 . In the same year Mlýnské Struhadlo and Mlynářovice were incorporated. In 1963 a culture house was built. Between 1976 and 1991 the village was incorporated into Plánice . The municipality of Újezd u Plánice has existed again since January 1st, 1992.
