history

The first written mention of the place took place in 1378 in the course of a dispute over the occupation of the parish in Bukovník , in which Bohuslav and Vojtěch from Soběšice appeared as witnesses. Presumably these are residents of the place and the addition "from Soběšice" only served as a designation of origin. After the reversal of the property of the former landlord Karl von Zietossow ( Karel z Jetišova ), who had died without descendants, was proclaimed on March 26, 1381 , Hermann von Radkovice made his claims to the Sobyezicz farm before the royal court in Schüttenhofen , which he held for a year had previously bought from Zietossow. Later the estate was divided into several parts.

In the berní rula of 1654 25 farms, five chalupners and 16 gardeners are identified for Sobieticze . Of these, 15 were farmers, four were Chalupners and 16 were gardeners from the Schichowitz estate ; five farms, two of which were in desolation, as well as a Chalupner from the Johanniterkommende Strakonitz ; three farmers subordinate to the Johanniterhof in Zimitz and two farmers to the Bílenice estate. Later, on the Schichowitz share, a farm with sheep was built. In 1825 a local stud stallion was set up in Sobieschitz.

In 1838 Sobieschitz , also Sobietschitz or Soběčice consisted of 95 houses with 660 inhabitants, including a Jewish family. 83 houses in the village belonged to the Schichowitz estate, nine houses to the Strakonitz estate and three houses to the Matschitz estate. According to Sobieschitz, the single-layer Matiegowitz ( U Matějů ) consisting of two rustic mills , the single-layer Pawlowitz ( U Poulů ) with four Dominical houses and the single-layer Ender ( Panské Mlýny ) with one Dominical mill and five chalets were conscripted . In Sobieschitz there was an official herding farm with a sheep farm and the kk local stud farm. The residents lived from agriculture. The parish was Bukownik . Until the middle of the 19th century, Sobieschitz remained largely subject to the Fideikommissherrschaft Schichowitz including the estates Raby , Budietitz , Žihobetz and Stradal.

After the abolition of patrimonial formed Soběšice / Sobieschitz 1850 with the hamlet Damíč a municipality in the judicial district Schüttenhofen. At that time the parish owned 403 hectares of 93 a pasture land. Since 1854 there were several arrangements to divide up the extensive communal pastureland, but they did not lead to an agreement. From 1868 the community belonged to the district of Schüttenhofen . Between 1889 and 1892 a provincial commission was sent to Soběšice to settle the dispute over the division of communal land. Some residents resisted the judicial division of the communal land, and five people were ultimately sentenced by the court in Písek to prison terms of between eight days and six weeks. In 1894 the division of the common land was legally enforced, but the disputes over it continued. The 75 hectares of 92 m² of forest remained in communal ownership. Damíč broke up in 1890 and formed its own community. The old linden tree in front of the Meierhof was felled in 1906. In the 1910 census, Soběšice had 990 inhabitants. In addition to agriculture, cloth weaving was also a source of income at this time. In 1911 a new school was built. In 1926 there were numerous bricklayers, carpenters and wheelwrighters in Soběšice as well as four inns, three shops, three grinding mills, two sawmills, a consumer branch, three cobblers, two blacksmiths, two tailors, two weavers, two hackers , a butcher and an egg dealer. There was a cement factory in Parýzek and a brick factory in Soběšice on the road to the new school. Homeworkers were panniers , baskets, bread baskets, clogs, scythe handles and rake produced. The bricklayers and construction workers mostly worked in Pilsen . The proposed connection of Soběšice to the electricity supply in 1937 failed, as did the construction of a municipal water supply and sewerage system due to the disagreement in the municipal council. It was not until 1949 that the community was connected to the electricity network. In the course of the abolition of the Okres Sušice, Soběšice was assigned to the Okres Klatovy in 1960. On November 26, 1971 Damíč was incorporated, at the beginning of 1980 Bukovník (with Mačice) was added. In 1973, a cultural center with a hall and restaurant was built on the site of the abandoned inn “U Motlů”. The following year the local waterworks was built. Since January 1st, 1993, Bukovník has again formed its own municipality. Soběšice has had a coat of arms and a banner since 2013.
