During the Hussite Wars there was a bloody skirmish at Mochtín in early September 1426 between the rebels under Protiva von Tešetín and imperial troops, who then moved against the Hussite city of Klattau , where the Battle of Klattau took place on September 11, 1426. In the 16th century, Wolf Sedlecký von Újezdec acquired the Mochtín manor and added it to his Měcholupy manor. In 1544 Margarethe Pflugk von Rabenstein was given guardianship over the children of Wolf Sedlecký von Újezdec and the administration of his property in the country table . The next owner was his son Adam Sedlecký from Újezdec. In the 17th century the Mochtín estate was sold to the Counts Kolowrat -Krakowsky and united with the Teinitzl lordship. When house numbering was introduced, Mochtín consisted of 31 houses around 1780. On March 30, 1804, the former Prussian Rittmeister Wilhelm Günter from Hildesheim founded the first chicory factory in Bohemia in Mochtín ; on June 24, 1805, the articles of association for the Günter-Solnický-Thelm-Parvonič company were concluded. In 1808, the Mochtín– Horažďowitz section of the Aerarstrasse from Taus via Klattau to Wittingau was completed. Until the middle of the 19th century, Mochtín remained submissive to Teinitzl.

After the abolition of patrimonial formed Mochtín / Mochtín 1850 with the districts Lhůta and Těšetiny a municipality in the judicial district Klatovy. Around 1860 Rudolf Johann Ernst Graf von Meraviglia-Crivelli bought the Mochtín manor and connected it with his Nový Čestín manor . From 1868 Mochtín belonged to the Klattau district . At that time, the production of the chicory factory was expanded to include coffee substitutes made from sugar beet and corn; the introduction of a fig coffee was a success; it was awarded prizes at exhibitions in 1873 and 1874. In 1892, chicory coffee production was relocated from Mochtín to Klatovy . The districts Lhůta and Těšetiny broke away from Mochtín in 1908 and formed the municipality Těšetiny, which in 1930 split up into the municipalities Lhůta and Těšetiny. The Güntersche chicory mill was converted into a cooperative distillery for the production of alcohol from potatoes in 1912. In 1924 a post office was opened. In 1930 there were 51 farms in Mochtín, cultivating a total of 508.19 hectares of land. The electrification of Mochtín was completed in January 1930.
