Lomec (German Lometz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located three and a half kilometers southwest of the city center of Klatovy and belongs to the Okres Klatovy .

geography

Lomec is located at the northern foot of the Strážovská vrchovina ( Drosauer Upland ) in the Klatovská kotlina ( Klattauer Kessel ). The village lies on the right side of the Novákovický brook. The Klatovská hůrka (498 m) rises to the north, the Bubnování (443 m) to the northeast, the Výhořička (492 m) to the east, the Výhořice (525 m) to the southeast and the Loreta (538 m) and the Lipová hora (476 m) to the south m). Road II / 191 runs northeast of Lomec between Klatovy and Janovice nad Úhlavou .

Neighboring towns are Beňovy in the north, Klatovy in the northeast, Luby in the east, Újezdec, Hejno and Malá Víska in the southeast, Loreta, V Oborách, Horní Lhota, Týnec and Rozpáralka in the south, Klenová , Vacovy, Granátka, Janovice nad Úhlavou in the south , Dolní Lhota and Bezděkov in the west and Novákovice, Drážský Mlýn and Kal in the northwest.

history

Lomec was first mentioned in a document in 1358, when Emperor Charles IV left the Lomec fortress to the brothers Johann , Peter , Jost and Ulrich von Rosenberg . Later the gentlemen von Welhartitz bought the estate. At the end of the 15th century Lomec belonged to the possessions of the brothers Peter and Nikolaus von Luby. After the estate was annexed to the Klenau rule at the beginning of the 16th century , the fortress lost its importance as a manor house and was left to decay. In the middle of the 16th century, Mr. Lev von Rosental sold the Lomec estate to Johann Wiedersperger von Wiedersperg on Muttersdorf . He had the Lomec farm renewed in the Renaissance style. In the second half of the 17th century, the Count bought Kolowrat -Krakowský the estate Lomec and beat it to the Good Teinitzl to bis remained the mid-19th century by Lomec Teinitzl servants.

After the abolition of patrimonial formed Lomce / Lometz 1850 a district of the municipality Novákovice in the judicial district Klatovy. From 1868 the village belonged to the Klattau district . The Czech place name Lomec has been used since 1880 . On July 1, 1975 Novákovice and Lomec were incorporated into Dolní Lhota. At the beginning of 1976 both villages came to Týnec as districts , from 1980 they belonged to Janovice nad Úhlavou . Since January 1st 1992, Lomec has formed its own community for the first time in its history.

Community structure

The municipality Lomec consists of the districts and cadastral districts Lomec ( Lometz ) and Novákovice ( Nowakowitz ). Lomec to include monolayer Lomecká hospoda and (pro rata) Na Hrázi.

  • Bell tower on the crossroads in the center of Lomec
  • Burgstall Lomec, southeast of the pond at the junction to Luby and Loreta. The water festival built in the 14th century went out at the beginning of the 16th century. It is not clear whether the fortress was renewed in the middle of the 16th century by Johann Wiedersperger, or whether this affected the Meierhof north of the pond. A wasteland lined with bushes and remains of the moat are preserved today.
