Lev von Rosental

The Lev von Rosental (Czech Lev z Rožmitálu ) were an important Bohemian noble family. They named themselves after the town of Rosental and their mansion, Castle Rosental in Central Bohemia .

Family history

According to Palacký, the family comes from the old Bohemian family of Buzický z Buzic , from which other noble houses such as the Zajíc von Hasenburg arose . He regards the knight Jetříšek von Buzovice, documented between 1109 and 1110, as the forefather.
