Nekvasovy (German Nekwasow ) is a municipality with 187 inhabitants in the Czech Republic . It is located seven kilometers southeast of Nepomuk and belongs to the Okres Plzeň-jih . The cadastral area is 604 ha.
geography
Nekvasovy is 479 m above sea level. M. in the valley of the Nekvasovský potok at its confluence with the Kovčínský potok. West of the village along the Kovčínský potok runs the railway line from Pilsen to Strakonice , where Nekvasovy has a stop. Behind it rises the 616 m high Vráž.
Neighboring towns are Barankův Mlýn, Černý Mlýn, Pohankův Mlýn and Voděra in the north, Chlumy in the northeast, Stupovka and Oselce in the east, Kvášňovice in the southeast, Kovčín in the south and Kramolín and Maňovice in the northwest.
history
Nekvasovy was first mentioned in 1558 and belonged to the Grünberg estate .
The village is known as the venue for the Tractor Sprint, which has been held annually at the end of June since 2001.
