Předenice (German Pschedenitz ) is a municipality with 168 inhabitants in the Czech Republic . It is located eight kilometers northeast of the city of Přeštice on the Úhlava and belongs to the Okres Plzeň-jih . The cadastral area is 432 ha.

Předenice is located 340 m above sea level. M. on the right bank of the Úhlava and is traversed by the Předenický potok. The Tlustá hora (476 m) rises to the northwest.
Neighboring towns are Čižice in the north, Štěnovický Borek in the northeast, Prusíny , Nebílovy and Netunice in the east, Háje in the south, Snopoušovy in the southwest, and Lišice and Hradčany in the west.
history
Předenice was first mentioned in a document in 1239 in a list of the Kladruby monastery as part of the Pschestitz monastery estates. Around 1379 the village came into the possession of the z Předenic family. At the beginning of the 16th century there was an inheritance division and Trystan z Předenic sold his part to the Nebílovy rule in 1540 . The other share, to which the fortress belonged, had come to Jan Snopovský von Borek in 1525, who united him with his manor Snopoušovy in 1539. In 1603 this part came to the Řenče rule , which was later added to the Dolní Lukavice . The fortress was no longer used as a noble residence and fell desolate.
After the replacement of patrimonial in 1850, both parts of Předenice were combined into one municipality in which 263 people lived. The parish was Prusing . In 1910 the place reached its highest number of inhabitants with 303 inhabitants, which then decreased slightly by 1930 (298 inhabitants).
The community has had a coat of arms since 2006.
