Sedliště (German Sedlischt ) is a municipality with 119 inhabitants in the Czech Republic . It is located six kilometers northeast of Nepomuk on the Čížkovský potok and belongs to the Okres Plzeň-jih . The cadastral area is 732 hectares.

Sedliště is located 446 m above sea level. M. in a right side valley of the Úslava . Neighboring towns are Přešín in the northeast, Smetalky and Zahrádka in the east, Čečovice in the southeast, Vrčeň in the southwest and Srby in the west.
history
The first written mention of Sedliště comes from the year 1552. However, the place is older and probably a foundation of the Cistercian monastery under the Grünberg, which was devastated in the Hussite Wars . Owners were u. a. the Sternbergers , of which Wilhelm von Sternberg, who became landlord in 1561, and Jiřík von Sternberg, who succeeded him in 1584, are worth mentioning.
In 1920 the village had 387 inhabitants. The village school was built in the 1920s. It is the largest building in the village and now serves as the municipal office. There is a swimming pond on the southern outskirts.
