Vstiš (German stitch ) is a municipality with 411 inhabitants in the Czech Republic . It is located three kilometers west of Dobřany and belongs to the Okres Plzeň-jih . The cadastral area is 773 ha.
geography
Vstiš is located at 336 m above sea level. M. on the lower reaches of the Dnešický potok near its confluence with the Radbuza . The 487 m high Křížový vrch rises to the southwest . The Dnešický potok is dammed in the Kastelský rybník ( Kastelteich ) and Nový vstišský rybník south of the Bayerův Důl locality .
Neighboring towns are Vodní Újezd on the opposite bank of the Radbuza in the north, Dobřany in the northeast, the complex of the Dobřany psychiatric sanatorium in the east, Chlumčany in the southeast, Bayerův Důl, Černotín and Dnešice in the south, Losina and Mantov in the west and Chotěšov in the northwest.
history
Vstiš was first mentioned in 1243, the owner at that time was Držek ze Vstiše. Since 1271 the place belonged to the possessions of the monastery Chotěšov , which probably exposed him as an Emphyteuse . In 1430 Vstiš was pledged to Wilhelm von Riesenberg , who attached the property to the Schwihauer estates. Under his descendants, Vstiš became part of the Přeštice estate . In 1564 the monastery redeemed the village again. After the Thirty Years' War, the monastery settled German farmers in the deserted village.
The berní rula shows Vstiš for 19 peasant communities and in the Theresian land register from 1713 35 farms were named.
One kilometer south of Stich, the Bayer coal mine was built in 1873 and the Bayer Grube settlement was built for the miners.
In 1906 the chapel was built in Stich. In the 1920s, around 800 people lived in the village, 600 of whom were German. After the Second World War, the German residents were expelled.
