The Radbuza in Pilsen |

The Radbuza (German Radbusa ) is the right source river of the Berounka in the Czech Republic .
course
The Radbuza rises east of Závist ( Neid ) in the Liščí Domky ( foxhouses ) desert in the Upper Palatinate Forest / Český les. Its source is at the western foot of the Lysá ( Lissaberg ; 870 m nm); The Bohemian Schwarzach / Nemanický potok rises 500 meters to the southwest . On its upper reaches, the Radbuza initially flows westwards north of Závist through the Mlynářka ( Schnaggenmühl ) desert and then turns north. Along its narrow valley lying through the crest of the Oberpfälzer forest Bedřichov ( Friedrichshof ) Rybník , Draha ( threatens ) that deserted villages Kněžská ( Pfaff Berg ), Stara Hut ( Althütten ) Velký Horsin ( United Gorschin ) Englova Chaloupka ( Engelhäusel ) Mostek ( Schwanenbrückl ), Novosedly ( Neubäu ), Horní Hamr ( Hammerschlag ) and Gailschlag as well as the one-layer Nový Dvůr ( Neubäusleife ). At the Kraví hora ( Kuhberg ; 532 m nm) near Smolov , the Radbuza takes a north-easterly direction. Your further run leads past the deserted Cihlářské Domky ( brick house ), Smolov, Nový Dvůr as well as the deserted Růžov ( Rosendorf ) and Růžovský Mlýn (rose mill ) through the Chodská pahorkatina to Bělá nad Radbuzou . The Radbuza then flows in a south-easterly direction past Újezd Svatého Kříže , Doubravka , Svržno and Nová Chaloupka. There the river takes an easterly direction; past Hostouň , Hostětice, the deserted Hamry ( Hassatitzer Hammer ), Oplotec, Štítary and Tasnovice, the Radbuza reaches the Plaská pahorkatina ( Plasser hill country ). The Radbuza then flows past Hamerský Mlýn, Svinná, Vítání, the deserted Ferdinandovo Údolí ( Ferdinandsthal ), Medná, Srby , Polžice, the hunting lodge Annaburk ( Annaburg ), Svatá Anna and Nová Ves back to the south of Horšovský Týn . At the Svinná mill weir, the Radbuza is five meters wide. After that the river takes a northeastern direction; Semošice, Peřina, Křenovy , Vránov, Bílý Mlýn, Staňkov , Ohučov, Dolní Kamenice and Holýšov are located in its wide valley through the Staňkovská pahorkatina ( Stankau hill country ) . At the Semošice weir the river reaches a width between five and ten meters; at the weir at Ohučov it is ten meters.
On the following section, which leads via Nový Dvůr and Hamerský Mlýn to Hradec , the Radbuza breaks through the Merklínská pahorkatina ( Merklin hill country ) between the Horzina forest and Trni forest and flows into the Plzeňská kotlina ( Pilsen basin ). The towns of Střelice , Střelický Mlýn, Na Farmě, Stod , Pančava, Mantov, Chotěšov , Metálka, Vstiš , Vodní Újezd, Dobřany , Dobřánky and Dobré Štěstí follow the river . On this section the Radbuza at Vodní Újezd reaches its greatest width with 20 meters. Then the Radbuza between Nová Ves and Šlovice is crossed by the D 5 motorway. On its lower reaches the Radbuza near Lhota reaches the urban area of Pilsen . Below Litice the river forms a meandering kerbsohlental, which is called České údolí ( Bohemian valley ); the largest part of this valley has been flooded by the České Údolí reservoir between Litice, Černý Most, Valcha, Vinice, Litická Přehrada and Bory since 1972 . Below the dam, the I / 27 / E 53 road between the Bory prison and the Výsluní settlement runs across the river from Pilsen to Klatovy and the D 5 motorway . The last section of the river leads past Doudlevce, Petrohrad, the southern suburb ( Jižní Předměstí ) and the eastern suburb ( Východní Předměstí ) and east of the city center of Pilsen. Here the river banks for urban development were regulated and raised. After 111.5 kilometers, the Radbuza unites in Pilsen on the grounds Prazdroj as the Mze / Mies to Berounka ( Beroun ). At its mouth, the river is 15 meters wide.
The catchment area covers a total of 2191.8 km², of which 1267 km² are accounted for by the Radbuza above the Úhlava estuary, 919 km² by the Úhlava and 5.8 km² on the lower section of the river between the Úhlava estuary and the confluence with the Berounka. A small part of the catchment area of 7.31 km² is in Bavaria . The Radbuza is navigable along its entire length, but its upper reaches in the Český les only when the water level is high.
Between Bělá nad Radbuzou and Svržno, the Domažlice – Tachov railway follows the course of the Radbuza. The Staňkov – Poběžovice railway runs from Svatá Anna to Staňkov, and then the Plzeň – Furth railway through the Radbuza valley to Chotěšov ; the latter bridges the river between Nový Dvůr and Hamerský Mlýn. From Dobřany the railway line Železná Ruda – Plzeň runs along the Radbuza, it crosses the river at Plzeň-Lhota and west of the Pilsen main station.
