Bohemian Schwarzach (Czech Nemanický potok ) is a popular name for the left and north-northeastern upper reaches of the Schwarzach up to the union with the Bavarian Schwarzach north of Waldmünchen -Kritzenast, which comes from the right and north . Originally both rivers of almost the same length were called the Schwarzach. The names Bayerische Schwarzach and Böhmische Schwarzach arose from the need for distinction . In hiking maps, the Bohemian Schwarzach, which contributes more than one and a half times as much to the sub-catchment area compared to the Bavarian one, is only referred to as Schwarzach and only the Bavarian Schwarzach is given its Bavarian attribute . The Böhmische Schwarzach in Bavaria is also officially regarded as the main upper reaches of the Schwarzach, which is already evident from the fact that both waterway indicators match. Her catchment area only in Bavaria exceeds that of her upper course partner here by a smaller factor.

course

The Bohemian Schwarzach rises east of Závist (German Neid , Gem. Rybník ) in the Upper Palatinate Forest / Český les. Its source is at the western foot of the Lysá (Lissaberg; 870 m nm); The Radbuza rises 500 meters to the northeast . It first flows south. West of Nemanice (German: water soups) the Novosedlský potok (German: Altbach, Ziegelbach) flows into the Bohemian Schwarzach coming from the north. South of Nemanice it crosses the Czech-German border after 9.5 kilometers and flows through the villages of Höll and Hammer . Then it is dammed up to the Perlsee . It leaves the Perlsee west of Waldmünchen , where after a kilometer it turns sharply to the west. From now on it maintains the westerly direction and after another four kilometers joins the Bavarian Schwarzach to form Schwarzach.

The catchment area of the Nemanický potok in the Czech Republic covers 62.6 km², at the Czech-German border the mean water flow is 0.24 m³ / s.
